Sacred Summits presents two super rare songs from the legenday Colin Potter. Originally released in 1981 on a compilation LP, this limited 7” release brings a different side to his music, with vocals, guitar and drums full of new wave rhythms and punk passion.

Taking the opening two songs from Colin’s own ICR label’s compilation showcase of 1981, “We Couldn’t Agree A Title” and putting them on one 7” is Sacred Summits way to highlight that Colin Potter is more than his later solo work and subsequent membership of Nurse With Wound shows.

What you get is two sides of proper abrasive post-punk, industrial electro machine music driven by Potter’s vocals, guitar, programmed drums and synths. These tracks are full of the power and passion of the DIY period following the explosion of punk several years beforehand.

Two cracking new wave bullets that unless you’re a total NWW head or spend half your life on discogs, you’ve probably never heard Colin Potter sound as pop savvy and dance ready as he does here.

The main cut ‘Behind You’, rattles along with live and programmed drums, searing synth-pop hooks, minimal guitar work and classic, synth-led jumble of apocalyptic lyrics, while the flip, We Are So Glad, is a zinger, chopping out taut, stepping drums, guitars and synths with some killer vocal processing.

Once again remastered at Duplate & Mastering and with special hand numbered, screen printed artwork by House of Traps.
